How To Take Tart Cherry Extract

Tart cherry extract has a wide range of benefits. It’s most well-known for being used to help alleviate pain associated with gout and arthritis. They also offer many other health benefits – ranging from better exercise performance and recovery, to a decrease in bad cholesterol.

TART CHERRIES AND OXIDATIVE STRESS

Tart cherries are also naturally antioxidant, due to the chemical compounds that give them their rich, dark color.
Most of us are guaranteed to be suffering under some level of oxidative stress. Things we encounter daily like emotional stress, pollution, incomplete diets, and more contribute to excess free radicals - so this is a great natural supplement to combat that.
This is why Dr. Warner developed a highly concentrated, stand-alone Tart Cherry Extract supplement. It
contains 1500mg of pure extract, without the excess sugars of cherry
juice or bitter taste. Here’s what you need to know about this
supplement:

WHAT IS IT BEST FOR?

The most important thing to know about this extract is that while it’s good for many specific conditions – it’s also a great addition to your daily supplement routine, whether or not you’re suffering from joint pain, inflammation, and more.

Unlike pharmaceuticals, herbal supplements don’t typically have harmful side effects, so you can enjoy the antioxidant benefits of this extract without worry. We do always recommend consulting with your physician before starting any new supplement routine, however.

Tart cherry extract has been used to alleviate joint pain for many years. It naturally fights inflammation, lowers uric acid levels in the body (which contribute to gout,) and eases pain in joints, helping to improve mobility and function.

Tart Cherry Extract: Inflammation & Muscle Recovery

It’s also great for other inflammatory conditions. Tart cherry is a Cox-2 inhibitor that works in the same way as NSAID’s to relieve pain. In one study, women with fibromyalgia who drank 10.5 ounces of tart cherry juice twice daily for 10 days had less pain.

But unlike NSAID’s, you don’t have to worry about side effects – especially if you follow these recommendations:

HOW TO TAKE TART CHERRY EXTRACT

We recommend taking all of our supplements with a meal so each dose is as gentle on your digestive system as possible. The best meal to take it with? Your last meal of the day!

Cherries naturally have melatonin content. However, you would have to eat a lot of fresh cherries to support sleep, since the natural melatonin content is small. Our concentration contains 1500mg of tart cherry extract and is highly concentrated, so you can expect more melatonin than you would be able to consume from fresh cherries.

For reference, to consume about 80mg of anthocyanins (the plant compounds in tart cherries that have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects) you would have to consume about 100-120 cherries.

To get the same amount of anthocyanin intake from a concentrated product, like our capsules, you only have to consume about 400mg of tart cherry extract. (Our concentration contains 1500mg!)

Still, this isn’t enough melatonin content to make you drowsy. Instead, you should consider this extract a mild, natural sleep aid, instead of a sleep-inducer. Taking our tart cherry extract right before bed helps support restful sleep.

And since your body does most of its healing work while you’re at rest, the extra antioxidant and anti-inflammatory kick from these supplements help you to wake up more refreshed and ready for tomorrow!
