Healthy Weight Loss Behaviors

Most people have experienced the struggle of trying to lose weight. There are so many different healthy habits that can contribute to a successful weight loss journey. Everyone seems to have a different answer on how to lose weight the “right way.” This is not about telling you the one secret to successfully losing weight, just to give you tips on how to more easily incorporate habits that will set you up for success.

MINDFUL EATING

Eating well can be the most daunting part of weight loss. Plan ahead for meals as people are more likely to make better decisions when they plan their meals ahead of time. Bring some snacks with you for unexpected hunger. Generally speaking, vending machines are only filled with badness. Preparedness when it comes to healthy food is a great way to set yourself up for success. Think about what your body needs and how to eat balanced meals.

Adding in fruits and veggies wherever you can is great. For some of those ingredients that work better at higher concentrations look at our supplements! Sometimes, it’s hard to get high enough doses from food alone. Our Tart Cherry Extract and Longevity Series are great examples of supplements that give you a higher dose than food would alone of those crucial ingredients!

GOOD SLEEP

A good sleep schedule is truly underrated! There are so many things that sleeping well will help within your body and so many things that a lack of rest can exacerbate. About 35% of adults in the U.S. are getting fewer than 7 hours of sleep a night, which is considered too little sleep. Studies show that lack of sleep makes people more hungry, therefore consuming more calories and sugar.

It is believed that lack of adequate sleep affects hunger hormone levels. This makes the ghrelin in your body increase, which makes you feel more hungry. Also, the leptin in your body decreases, therefore even with eating you don’t feel full. If you’re looking to help improve your sleep try adding one of our sleep gummies to your nightly routine to help improve the quality of your sleep!

MORE WALKING

Walking is a great way to burn more calories. Perhaps even more importantly, walking will help to regulate your serum glucose levels. Adding any additional physical activity will help burn more calories, aiding your weight loss. Find creative ways in your daily life to add in extra walking! Take the stairs instead of the elevator.

Park your car farther down the parking lot. Invite a friend to walk your neighborhood or a local track with you. If you work at a desk, make sure you get up and walk around the office a little more! There are so many forms of helpful exercise, but walking is by far the easiest to add into your routine! Not to mention, it’s low risk and easy on joint pain. Walking is also free and there is no membership required.
